Since 1995, Unity has recorded songs of rich Traditional Gospel Music that has the foot stomping, hand clapping, and bass lines. In 1995 Wendy Peterson and Unity signed with First Lite Records and launched the CD Album Last and Evil Days. In 2000, Unity Live CD Album was recorded in Wendy’s hometown of Fayetteville NC. To move forward, In 2016 the project Together as One is a long fulfilled dream to have her family join in and sing together. Evangelist Mary White (mother), DeOndra Peterson (daughter), Perry Parker (cousin), and last but not least Bobby Peterson (husband) has joined in this project. The latest Single You Got The Word was released March of 2019. This group Unity music is a mixture of both traditional and light contemporary that will warm the hearts of the people, set the captives free, and bless the fainted.
Traditional and Quartet music was a staple that helped to form the group Wendy Peterson and Unity based out of Fayetteville, NC. In the Quartet music industry many mentors come to mind such as the late Willie Neal Johnson, Doc McKenzie, William Brothers, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Evelyn Turrentine Agee, McDonald Sisters, Edward Sisters, and so many others. Co-Pastor Wendy Peterson & Unity has had the honor to share the stage with many gospel Quartet legends such as Doc McKenzie, The Late Willie Neal Johnson and The Gospel Keynotes, Tommy Elison and the Five Singing Stars, Evelyn T. Agee, Luther Barnes, and others. . Unity has won numerous awards and appeared on events such as NC Gospel Announcers Guild, GMWA, S & M Awards and etc.. Also, recently 2018 Wendy Peterson and Unity have been nominated on The Steeple Award and Praize Factor Awards. It is with great honor and Glory to God that Wendy Peterson & Unity gives for allowing this group an opportunity to minister and spread the good news of Jesus Christ through this ministry.
